Water Vapor Transmission Rate Test for Solar Backsheet

 With the development and usage of the renewable energy, along with the advocation and encourage of National policy, Solar backsheet,as a relatively mature cleaning energy, has been more and more used in industrial production and daily life. Solar modules are sequently laminated by solar PV glass, EVA,  solar cells and solar backsheet. As the most outermost protective layer of the solar cell module, solar battery backsheet plays an important protecting and supporting role to battery piece and to be an important component of solar cell module. The service life of solar cell products is generally long .In order to meet the requirement, the backsheet material must not only have good weather resistance, shock resistance and reliable insulativity, but also have the higher water barrier performance. If the solar backsheet had the bad water barrier performance, then the humidity in air((especially rainy days more moisture) will pass through solar backsheet to inner side, and will affect the bonding properties of EVA  and result in the backsheet separating from EVA, and more moisture vapor directly contact with solar cells and make the cell oxidation, thus affecting the battery life. So the barrier performance is an important indicator to measure the performance of solar cell backsheet .It mainly reflected in the water vapor transmission rate data. The smaller the water vapor transmission rate, the better the water resistance.
